Rangeland Precipitation Monitoring Workshop

This University of Arizona Cooperative Extension workshop will cover some of the basics of collecting and using precipitation data for rangeland management as well as introducing some new tools and strategies to make the job easier.

  • Learn about precipitation monitoring best practices for rangeland monitoring…How many gauges do I need? Where should I put them? How often should they be read? How do I interpret the data?
  • Learn about do-it-yourself rain gauge designs including a new type that makes reading gauges faster and more accurate
  • Learn about a new online tool to manage and interpret precipitation data

Lunch will be provided and every family will receive a free rain gauge!
