Salute to Ranching Dinner-Dance & Auction

We extend our heartfelt thanks for joining us at the Salute to Ranching Dinner-Dance and Auction on Friday, November 21, 2025, held at the Gila County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. Your presence made the event truly special. We trust you had an amazing experience, filled with laughter, delicious food, an exciting live auction, and the lively tunes of Bob Bigando and the Tumbleweeds. Your support is invaluable to us.

After savoring the grilled-to-perfection rib eye steak dinner, expertly catered by Darlene Jonovich of DJ’s Casa, Jill Wilson, the GCCGA Treasurer, honored Alfred and Aimee Ellison with a memorial plaque in tribute to Nathan Ellison’s remarkable contributions to the community. Nathan's absence will be profoundly felt; his enduring legacy of friendship, love, and community spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Peter Oddonetto, President of GCCGA, respectfully recognized the outstanding achievements of Hal Earnhardt, awarded the 2025 Rancher of the Year, and Ashley Hall, awarded 2025 Wrangler of the Year.

Trent Hazlo from Payson and Andrew Brown from Globe were recognized as the distinguished Gila County Bred and Fed Champions  for the 2025 Payson and Globe Gila County Fairs.  Each steer was bred and fed right here in Gila County. This award included a prestigious prize buckle along with a well-deserved check to help cover the significant costs of raising and showcasing livestock.

Next, everyone came together to enjoy the excitement and camaraderie of bidding on a diverse array of live and silent auction items, including exquisite art, stunning jewelry, tool sets, and so much more. As the evening came to a close, guests hit the dance floor, grooving to the lively, foot-stomping tunes of our local favorites, Bob Bigando and the Tumbleweeds that had everyone dancing and enjoying the night.
